Bottega Veneta holds a unit on the marina promenade. The house was founded in Vicenza in 1966 and built its name on intrecciato — leather cut into strips and woven, originally because the sewing machines of the day could not handle the hides.
The unbranded end of the promenade
There are two shops here selling to a customer who does not want to be identified across a terrace: this one and Loro Piana. Everything else on the promenade is legible at fifty metres, by design.
Which of those two customers you are is a real question on this coast, and the piece on the fading logo is the longer version of it.
