Golden Goose was founded in Venice in 2000 and built a business on sneakers made to look worn. The store on the marina promenade carries those, plus apparel and accessories.
The half of the promenade that is not for you
If the idea of paying several hundred euros for pre-scuffed leather is irritating, that reaction is the point rather than a misunderstanding. The house sells to a customer for whom the distressing is the design.
It is here for the same reason Off-White is: the marina is not betting on one generation. The piece on the heir who repicks everything is about why that is the correct bet.
