The counter that gets used

On a promenade of houses selling five-figure objects, the busiest thing most evenings will be an ice cream counter. There is nothing ironic about that; it is how a retail street actually works.

For a household with children it is also the thing that makes the marina a place you go rather than a place you shop, which is a different and more durable relationship with an address.

A table, and the right one

We do not run a booking service. We do know which rooms are worth a Tuesday, who is cooking rather than plating, and which kitchens will send someone to your house. Ask and we will tell you what we would do.

  • 01 A human reads it. Always.
