The star
Awarded in the 2024 selection There was no Athens selection in 2025. The combined Greece guide is due in the second half of 2026.

Pelagos sits at the Four Seasons Astir Palace on the Vouliagmeni peninsula, under the Italian chef Luca Piscazzi. The terrace looks over the Saronic Gulf, the cooking is Mediterranean with a seafood emphasis and Italian influence, and it holds one Michelin star.

The thing everybody gets wrong about the star

You will see it described as a 2026 star. It is not. There was no separate Athens selection in 2025 while Michelin prepared to expand the guide across Greece, so the stars currently standing in Athens were awarded in the 2024 selection and have simply carried forward.

The combined Greek guide — Athens, Thessaloniki and Santorini together for the first time — is due in the second half of 2026 and has not been published. Until it is, nobody in Athens has a 2026 star, and any list that says otherwise is repeating a press release.

Eleven one-star restaurants and one two-star in Athens. Two of the eleven are on this coast, eight minutes apart.

What the opening hours tell you

Dinner only, Tuesday to Saturday, and children from twelve. That is a kitchen that has decided what it is, and for a resident it is genuinely useful information: this is not somewhere you drop into after the beach.

The other starred room on the peninsula, Patio at The Margi, makes a different set of choices — nine tables, and only from May to October. Between them they cover most of what serious dining on this coast currently amounts to, and the rest of the question is how to read everything else.

A table, and the right one

We do not run a booking service. We do know which rooms are worth a Tuesday, who is cooking rather than plating, and which kitchens will send someone to your house. Ask and we will tell you what we would do.

  • 01 A human reads it. Always.
  • 02 We name names, and we say why.
  • 03 Any commercial relationship is disclosed up front.
  • 04 Nothing you send us is sold to anyone.

Where we earn a referral fee we say so on the page it appears. Nothing in the editorial rankings is for sale. Read the charter.
