Ralph Lauren founded his label in 1967 and the menswear line the year after. The Polo store on the marina promenade sells the part of that catalogue that works in heat.
The unglamorous case for it
Every guide to a marina promenade writes about the house with the architecture and ignores the one selling polo shirts. The second is the one a resident uses twenty times a year.
It is also, for a family, the one shop here that clothes a teenager without a negotiation — which on a coast where the school run reorganises the whole map is worth more than it sounds.
