Enterprise Greece

State investment and trade promotion company · Βασιλίσσης Σοφίας 109, 115 21 Αθήνα

The official investment agency, on Vasilissis Sofias — and it has no role whatsoever in the Golden Visa, which is the thing most people expect it to do.

Athens seen whole from above, the Acropolis small against the city, the Saronic Gulf beyond.

info@eg.gov.gr; investinfo@eg.gov.gr The domain is eg.gov.gr, not enterprisegreece.gov.gr. A good deal of published contact information gets this wrong.
Role in the Golden Visa
None, and there never was one No residence permit or visa page exists anywhere in its English sitemap. Its own guide to residence permits for property owners now displays a single line of text reading "UNDER REVIEW" and the PDF is withdrawn. The organisation chart contains no migration, visa or residence unit.
What it lost in April 2026
Strategic Investments Following Law 5297/2026, published 28 April 2026, applications for strategic investments and their evaluation moved to the General Secretariat for Private Investments at the Ministry of Development, Νίκης 5-7, Σύνταγμα. Enterprise Greece’s own published organisation chart still shows two Strategic Investments directorates and is stale.
The Investor Ombudsman
The page is a 404 Absent from the current sitemap. Whether the function was formally abolished or merely dropped from the website could not be confirmed. Published references to ombudsman@eg.gov.gr point at a dead page.
Public opening hours
Not published There is no advertised walk-in counter. Contact is by form, telephone or email.

Enterprise Greece is the state’s investment and trade promotion company, sitting under the Foreign Ministry, with a head office on Vasilissis Sofias and a small Thessaloniki presence.

Why this file is mostly about what it is not

A great deal of relocation writing implies that the official investment agency is somehow part of the investor residence permit process. It is not. That is a single department in the Ministry building at Rentis and it always has been.

The evidence is unusually clean: nothing in the agency’s own sitemap, nothing in its organisation chart, and a withdrawn publication where its residence permit guide used to be.

What it publishes is worth having — a tax guide, a company formation guide, and investment incentive material, all updated for 2025 and 2026. Treat it as a reference library rather than a service desk.

The Desk · The Move

Three firms, not thirty

We keep a short list of tax advisers and immigration lawyers who have actually run 5A applications to completion, and who answer email. Tell us your situation and we will make an introduction to the two or three that fit it, and tell you plainly where we have a commercial relationship and where we do not.

  • 01 A human reads it. Always.
  • 02 We name names, and we say why.
  • 03 Any commercial relationship is disclosed up front.
  • 04 Nothing you send us is sold to anyone.

Where we earn a referral fee we say so on the page it appears. Nothing in the editorial rankings is for sale. Read the charter.

What is this about?

We reply within one working day. Your details are never sold or passed on without your say-so.
