IYC began in Fort Lauderdale in 1997 as International Yacht Collection, merged with the Greek brokerage Cape4 Yachting in 2015 and took the present name then. Fifteen offices, more than 160 people, and sales, charter, management, crew and new construction under one roof.
Why the Greek half matters
The Alimos office is not a satellite. IYC’s Greek presence comes from the Cape4 side of the 2015 merger, its executive chairman came with it, and in January 2024 it bought Yachtlove, an Athens charter-management specialist, adding eight yachts and its founder.
For a household based on this coast that is the practical argument. Three other houses have Riviera offices — Burgess in Vouliagmeni, Camper & Nicholsons in Alimos, Fraser in Glyfada — but only IYC covers Greece, Cyprus, Montenegro and Croatia together, which is the actual shape of an Eastern Mediterranean season.
The disclosure that belongs here
This is the only file on the site that carries a personal recommendation from the person who owns it, and it is signed for that reason. He has paid the market rate on every booking and there is no arrangement between LivingTheta and IYC of any kind.
Treat it as what it is: one client, several charters, a considered view. It is a stronger claim than an anonymous ranking and a weaker one than a survey, and both halves of that are worth saying.
