Onassis or Niarchos
Both are shipping foundations and they are constantly confused. The SNFCC is the Niarchos campus — Renzo Piano, a park, the National Library and the National Opera, on the coast road. This is the Onassis one, in town, and the two do not overlap.
A household that wants to be useful rather than decorative picks one and commits to it. How patronage actually works in Athens is the piece that argues why.
The Ilisia evening
Note that Hytra used to be on this building’s roof and is not now — it is in the Megaron garden, which is a different quarter and a different evening.
