The File
Verita International School
English-curriculum school, ages 2 to 18 · Glyfada and Alimos
The only English-curriculum school physically on this coast — Early Years and Primary in Glyfada, Secondary in Alimos. Three addresses rather than one campus.
Commercial relationship
None. LivingTheta has no commercial relationship with Verita International School, receives nothing from it, and takes no fee from any school or placement adviser.

- Early Years
- Irakliou 30, Glyfada Ages 2 to 5, on the EYFS framework.
- Primary
- Smirnis 13, Glyfada
- Secondary
- Marinou Antipa 4, Alimos Opened in the 2023–24 academic year as the first Year 6 moved up.
- Distance
- The Glyfada campuses are on the coast About 6.7 km from Vouliagmeni and 2.7 km from Elliniko; the Alimos secondary campus is about 12.5 km from Vouliagmeni and 3.4 km from Elliniko. Straight-line — the road is longer, and in term-time traffic longer again.
- IB Diploma
- Stated as intended, not confirmed as authorised The school publishes that the IB Diploma will run in Years 12 and 13 and that it will be an authorised IB World School at the opening of the Secondary School. It appears in the IB school directory. We could not confirm from the IB which programmes are currently authorised, and this is a question to put to the school directly.
Verita teaches the National Curriculum of England from age two, delivered with the Fieldwork Education frameworks, across three addresses: Early Years and Primary in Glyfada, Secondary in Alimos. Greek is taught daily alongside.
The only one on the coast
Every other English or international school serving this coastline is inland or north — Koropi at the nearest, and then twenty-two kilometres and upwards. Verita is in Glyfada.
For a household in Voula or Glyfada with young children that is a materially different daily life, and it is the reason this file sits at the top of the list rather than in the middle of it.
Three addresses, not one campus
Early Years on Irakliou, Primary on Smirnis, Secondary in Alimos. The school describes this as students moving through three stages; a parent should read it as two or three drop-offs while the children are at different stages.
That is worth mapping honestly against a single-campus school further out. Nine kilometres to one gate can be less driving than three kilometres to two.
The question we could not answer
What is examined at eighteen. The published material says the IB Diploma will run in Years 12 and 13 and that the school will be an authorised IB World School at the opening of the Secondary School, and Verita appears in the IB directory — but the page carries no date and we could not confirm the current authorisation from the IB itself.
So ask what a Year 13 pupil sat this June. If the answer is that no year group has reached it yet, that is a legitimate position for a school this young and it is a different proposition from St Lawrence, which has been examining A Levels for decades.
