The Yacht Club of Greece has been on the Mounichia peninsula at Mikrolimano since 1933. About a thousand members, three dining options, and a formal room that is members and their guests only.
Why it is not the marina
Astir Marina is a retail promenade with berths attached. This is a club with a dining room and a race programme, and the difference is the whole point: one sells you things, the other decides whether you are in it.
For a household that keeps a boat, the sailing route into Greek society runs through here rather than through anything on the coast.
